The University of Worcester has officially launched the Joel Richards Scholarship, raising over £2,000 in memory of former student Joel Richards.

Held in the conference suite named in Joel’s honour, the event featured heartfelt speeches from his mum, Suzanne Richards MBE, and Vice Chancellor Professor David Green CBE DL, who recently completed the 280 km Portuguese Camino to support student scholarships.
Student Summer Green, the UK’s only Camino ambassador, also shared her experience.
The new scholarship will continue Joel’s legacy by supporting future students at the University he loved.
