European Union will introduce its new "Entry-Exit System" (EES) for UK citizens

Did you know that in just a few months, (target date 10th Nov 24) the European Union will introduce its new "Entry-Exit System" (EES) for UK citizens. This system will require fingerprinting and biometric recognition for every British visitor entering the EU's Schengen area by the end of this year.

Additionally, starting in November 2025, UK travelers will need to obtain a de facto visa in advance, costing €7 (£6) for a three-year permit.

Check with your travel agent or FCDO website to keep up to date with changes.
